This is a blog about physics, maths, the universe and other funny stuff, discussed as in a cafeteria, writing on napkins. The author is… me! My name is Javier Rodriguez-Laguna, I did my PhD in theoretical physics in UCM, Madrid, while working as a high school math teacher. Then I went for a postdoc to Trieste and returned back home to UC3M (you see, I multiplied my alma mater by 3). Then, I did a second postdoc at ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences… sounds like Star Trek, doesn’t it?), in Barcelona, and went to some other places… finally ending up at UNED, where I teach and do research on random topics of theoretical physics. I am interested in the renormalization group, strongly correlated systems, quantum information theory, statistical mechanics, quantum geometry… so, virtually everything…
