About me

This is a blog about physics, maths, the universe and other funny stuff, discussed as in a cafeteria, writing on napkins. The author is… me! My name is Javier Rodriguez-Laguna, I did my PhD in theoretical physics in UCM, Madrid, while working as a high school maths teacher. Then I went for a postdoc to Trieste and returned back home to UC3M (you see, I multiplied my alma mater by 3). Presently, I am on a second postdoc at ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences… sounds like Star Trek, doesn’t it?), in Barcelona, and I do research on random topics of theoretical physics. I am interested in the renormalization group, strongly correlated systems, quantum information theory, statistical mechanics, cosmology… so, virtually everything…

In case you might want to contact me, you can do it at jrlaguna AT math DOT uc3m DOT es.

And you can also check my main webpage, at saraswati.

Igor Broncovitch, Javi's alter ego, and Charlotte, the whimsical blondie, celebrating that no SUSY was found at LHC...
